Our Value

There were little flaky orange stickers on every person’s neck. Each paper had numbers, with a dollar sign. I asked one girl what it was,
“Our value” she replied.
“Who gives it to you?”
“It isn’t given, we each make one for ourselves- honestly, what we think we’re worth” the number on her sticker read $6.99.
“Kind of an odd number, ending in a .99” I commented
“The values that end in .99 are clearance.”
“Why would you think you’re clearance?”
“I don’t know it just seemed best. Look at the rest of us…look at everyone else.”
“Why don’t you think you’re as good as them?”
“Society tells me I’m not. That’s what these stickers are for- so society knows where we stand.”
Even though I’ve never been back to that place, her words still haunt me-
“…society knows where we stand.”

it's been a while, old friend.

this is the only journal i have ever kept, and i've had it for a long time. there are a lot of gaps between entries, but it still continues.

-school is out for the summer, and i am officially a senior.
-my artwork has yet to resume, but i'm planning on free sketching in new york this thursday, which will revive my hands, i hope.
-my friends are in a constant cycle, i think i've finally come to grips with the way the wheels turn
-i've finally met someone with whom i am on the same page, in the same book, even on the same shelf, just in libraries a few thousand miles apart, and i think i can actually deal with that.
-a lot in my life has turned around, and i'm back where i began on a lot of issues, in a very good way.

i'm happy again
and i'd like to stay this way

peace, love, and a prayer-full of pixie dust

Been a bit crazy hectic my self, college, and yea i have no clue how to spell, and yet i got into Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute =] so that was a bit stressful, and you know the end of the year mumbo-jumbo never seeing people ever again can get you kinda down lol but i will be back for holidays occasionally. And your insane, is that a new development? just kidding! Well I'll be posting the next part or two of the Tuxedo Chronicles first, after that i really want to start working on the Planetary Epoch again. Its good to get back in touch with you. =] Call some time if you wish although my cell is never on any more =p well im off to do my german presentation a powerpoint to which i will be speaking for like 15 min ugh
